The Insulation Assurance Authority is the industry body that provides assurance framework under a single compliance platform and covers consumer protection, technical guidance, Certification, Competent Persons Scheme (CPS), installer surveillance, monitoring, training and carding.
The IAA framework gives homeowners, key stakeholders, and funders the confidence that insulation work is carried out to the highest standards and subject to a level of rigor and surveillance which helps ensure it is done 'Right first time'. As The IAA approaches its 1st year anniversary it is time to reflect on what we have achieved. When The IAA was initially launched it was safe to say no one knew the full extent and impact COVID-19 would have on business. However, against the trend it is great to report that since launch we have on-boarded a number of System Designers, Installers and System Suppliers.

The IAA note with grave concerns the recent article from the Times Newspaper in which they suggest that the Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme is to be scrapped by Government at the end of March and the committed funding for the financial year 2021/22 withdrawn in its entirety and, whilst this is currently being denied by the BEIS the Government Department responsible for the scheme we are yet to receive assurances from Ministers that this is not the case

ProQual have now released the latest PAS2030:19 NVQ qualifications, specifically focusing on:
- Level 2 - NVQ Diploma in Insulation and Building Treatments (December 2020)
- Level 3 - NVQ Diploma in Insulation and Building Treatments (December 2020)

With the recent Government announcement, the Green Homes Grant has now been extended with the new deadline of March 2022.
Mon 5th October 2020
Once you become a Member of The IAA and are TrustMark registered, you must ensure you register as an official Green Homes Grant Installer.
Why? When homeowners search via the Simple Energy Advice or TrustMark website, this will ensure you are listed under the local areas you service. Encourages homeowners to select your company to carry out their home improvements.
Net Zero 2050
The Government have declared a climate crisis and are committed to Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050 - domestic dwellings account for 17-19% of carbon emissions, only by tackling the energy efficiency of building fabric as a part of deep retrofit will we deliver Net Zero 2050.
Too often installer have suffered from the reputation of those lesser organisations who have served to profit from the industry whilst seeking lowest cost and lowest compliance options for delivery. The IAA is committed to building on the current first-class installers who already use CIGAs extensive offering and provide these services across the insulation industry as a whole.
