Which? Trusted Traders launches new relationship with The IAA

Which? Trusted Traders is working with The Insulation Assurance Authority (IAA) to help businesses in the insulation industry stand out from their competitors and help customers to find the right trader for them.

The IAA is the technical authority and industry body that provides a quality assurance framework under a single compliance platform. Their framework gives homeowners, key stakeholders and funders the confidence that insulation work is carried out to the highest standards and subject to a level of rigour and surveillance which helps ensure it is done ‘Right First Time’.

The IAA are a UKAS accredited PAS body and as TrustMark Scheme Provider. The IAA automatically offers homeowners an extra level of protection and surveillance for the work carried out on their property.

There are a multitude of benefits to homeowners for using an IAA member to carry out their insulation, for example:
  • All IAA TrustMark registered members go through another level of surveillance to be associated with TrustMark
  • Homeowners have peace of mind work is carried out by members who are trained and certified
  • If applicable, all homeowners will receive an IAA guarantee for their chosen measure. This guarantee covers any defaults in materials and workmanship in connection with the installation by the installing Company
Members of The IAA must comply with the BSI standard PAS 2030 meaning specification for the installation of Energy Efficiency Measure/s. These cover a detailed criteria such as installation methods, equipment, tools, product or system and material suitability, the commissioning of installed measures and the training, skills and vocational qualification of the people undertaking such installation.

Members of The IAA with 39 employees or less can apply to join Which? Trusted Traders and take advantage of a special offer giving them 50% off their membership fees for the first six months.
